I Just Want to Dance Summer Series.

The Institute will host a series of classes weekly in the
genres of AfroFusion, African Contemporary, Ghanian /
Afrobeats and traditional west African. The classes will be
facilitated by local artist whose study and research landed
them in this creative partnership with the Institute to offer
to the Columbus dance community.

Schedule will be held June 22 – August 14, 2026

Monday – Thursday from 630p – 8p
Historic Lincoln Theatre ballroom 769 East Long Street.

Participants will enter via the red
doors to the ballroom, to the third-floor entry and sign in.
Personal items will be held in this area, only towels or
water bottles are allowed on the floor. Appropriate
clothing to move freely is appreciated. Traditional classes
recommend a lapa for Tuesdays classes. Some class will
allow shoes, please ensure the footwear is clean of debris
that may pollute the dance floor. Class format will
include warm up, technique building, floor work and total body cool down

Registrations is preferred (Discounts offered for two or
more classes ) Walk ups are welcome until 7p with a $20
class fee.

All participants must sign Public & Waiver Release form.
Cost: (1) 8 weeks series | $120
• one additional session:10% discount
• two additional sessions: 20% discount
• three additional sessions 30% discount
